Polish forces would have shot down a Russian missile that flew into Polish airspace this morning, March 24, if they were confident that it was heading towards some target.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamisz stated this at a media briefing, the Ukrinform agency reports.
Each such situation is considered individually. But if there were any signs that this object was heading towards some target located on Polish territory, it would obviously have been shot down,” Kosiniak-Kamysh said.
According to him, given this kind of situation, Poland is strengthening its air defense/missile defense system. Then contracts were signed for the implementation of the second stage of the Vistula air defense/air defense program.
Kosiniak-Kamysh also thanked the American and British allies, in particular the British Minister of Defense, who, after negotiations with the Polish side, decided to extend the deployment of air defense/missile defense systems, in particular Sky Saber, in Poland until the end of this year.
He added that Russia continues to violate international law by attacking the territory of Ukraine.
We will continue to support Ukraine, this support is important in the international arena, as well as provide military and humanitarian support. This is a matter that concerns Polish and world security,” the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense emphasized.
According to the Polish minister, it is clear that one cannot count on normal behavior and Russia’s compliance with international law.
