The parties also discussed cooperation within the artillery and aviation coalitions and training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16.
President Vladimir Zelensky met with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen, who is visiting Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the head of state on Friday, March 22.
The interlocutors condemned the latest massive Russian missile attack on Ukrainian territory and noted the urgent need to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
The preparations for the Danish-Ukrainian conference of defense industries and the prospects for establishing direct contact between the military-industrial complex companies of the two countries and joint production of weapons were discussed.
Separately, the parties discussed cooperation within the framework of the artillery and aviation coalition and the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 aircraft, which Denmark and other partners are preparing to transfer to Ukraine.
“We sincerely thank the people of Denmark, who have been with us since the beginning of the mass invasion. Thank you for all the defense aid packages from your government, they are very important for us,” Zelensky said.
We remind you that on March 12, Denmark announced another package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than $330 million. This includes Caesar’s self-propelled guns, self-propelled 120-mm mortars and ammunition for them.
As you know, on February 23, Ukraine and Denmark signed a security agreement for 10 years.
