The regulator strengthened the hryvnia, although in the interbank market the American dollar rose in price by 11 kopecks – to 39.00-39.05 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine reduced the exchange rates of the dollar and euro against the hryvnia. They are retreating from historic highs, according to data on the regulator’s website on Friday, March 22.
The dollar exchange rate on the first day of next week is set at UAH 38.9075 (-0.0159 UAH). In turn, the official exchange rate of the euro decreased even more and reached UAH 42.1252 per (-0.3441 UAH).
In the interbank market, the price of the American currency rose noticeably – by 11 kopecks, up to 39.00-39.05 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar fell by 15 kopecks to 39.05 UAH/dollar.
As you know, in recent days the dollar exchange rate has increased by about 1 Hryvnia. And the official exchange rate of the NBU on March 20 crossed the 39 hryvnia mark for the first time.
Meanwhile, the National Bank said that this situation in the foreign exchange market does not cause concern.
