From Netaylovy, it is less than 12 km to the runway of Donetsk airport. And just 3 km from here there are battles. A few dozen people still remain in Netaylovo, which was razed to the ground. Because of the terrible shelling, they hardly leave the basements. The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation gave them food packages.
“Thank you. You can’t live here without help,” said a local resident.
“We are very grateful that you brought humanitarian aid to us. It warms our hearts. We really hope that we will have peace,” another woman admitted.
In order to quickly bring down boxes with food packages, people form a chain. Every minute is worth its weight in gold, as the Russian military often shoots where humanitarian aid is being provided and where there are many civilians. But, despite the dangers, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation will continue to bring help to where people need it, emphasizes volunteer Nikolai Osichenko, the ambassador of the foundation and head of Mariupol Television.

Since the beginning of the general war, the Foundation has sent 344 thousand food packages to the residents of the Donetsk region and to those temporarily evacuated from the region.
Since 2014, the fund has donated 13 million food packages to residents of Ukraine. During this period, assistance from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM enterprises and the Shakhtar football club reached more than 18 million people.
Assistance is provided within the framework of the Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives program.
