The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to actively inflict damage on the occupation forces in manpower and equipment.
In the last 24 hours, 78 clashes took place on the front. Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes in seven areas where Russian personnel were concentrated. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on March 16.
It was noted that in total the enemy launched 10 missiles and 68 air strikes, carried out 89 attacks from multiple rocket launch systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. There have been civilian deaths and injuries as a result of terrorist attacks in Russia.
Popovka, Volnoye, Aleksandrovka, Bolshaya Pisarevka, Lukashevka, Dmitrovka in the Sumy region were subjected to air strikes; Baranovka, Zolochev, Pokalyan, Petropavlovka, Kharkov region; Nadezhda, Belogorivka, Lugansk region; Seversk, Semyonovka, Kalinovka, Chasov Yar, Keramik, Novobakhmutovka, Novoselovka Pervaya, Orlovka, Umanskoye, Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Pobeda, Konstantinovka, Donetsk region; Rabotino, Zaporozhye region.
About 100 settlements of Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson and Nikolaev regions are under artillery.
According to the General Staff, in the directions of Volyn and Polesie the operational situation remains without significant changes.
On the directions of Seversky and Slobozhansky, the Russian Federation maintains a military presence in the border areas and carries out sabotage activities to prevent the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in threatening directions.
In the direction of Kupyansk, the Defense Forces repelled three Russian attacks in the areas of Sinkovka and Tabaevka settlements in the Kharkov region, where the enemy tried to improve their tactical position.
In the direction of Liman, our soldiers repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka in the Lugansk region and Terny and Razdolevka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried, with aviation support , to break the defenses of our troops.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three attacks by the Russian Federation in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka and Kleshchievka, Donetsk region.
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled 26 enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlovka, Tonenkoye and Pervomaiskoye settlements.
In the direction of Novopavlovsk, the Defense Forces continued to contain the enemy in the areas of Krasnogorovka, Georgievka and Novomikhailovka, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 24 times.
At the direction of Orekhovsky, the invaders attacked the positions of our defenders seven times in the Staromayorsky district of the Donetsk region and Rabotino of the Zaporozhye region.
In the direction of Kherson, the enemy does not abandon the intention to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the bridges on the left bank of the Dnieper. So, in the last 24 hours, three unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops were carried out.
We remind you that a day earlier, 68 clashes were recorded on the front. The Russian invaders did not take offensive actions in the direction of Bakhmut.
As reported, Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine on the night of March 16 with attack drones of the “shahed” type. Air defense forces destroyed all enemy targets.
