On Saturday morning, drones successfully attacked two oil companies in Moscow. In one of the videos, you can hear someone trying to shoot down the drone, but to no avail.
Fires broke out at both factories.
The first drone at 6.00 attacked the territory of the oil refinery in Syzran. At the same time, several other drones attacked the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery. A fire started there too.
Since the beginning of the week, at least three large Russian refineries have been attacked by drones. On Wednesday, the Ryazan oil refinery and the Novoshakhtinsky oil products plant in the Rostov region were attacked. On Tuesday, as a result of a drone hit, a refinery owned by Lukoil in the city of Kstovo near Nizhny Novgorod was also damaged.
As Bloomberg calculated, these three refineries account for about 12% of Russia’s oil refining capacity.
A BBC Ukrainian service source in the security forces stated that Ukraine, with the help of such attacks, is implementing “a detailed strategy to reduce the economic potential of Russia.” Officially, Kyiv did not claim responsibility for the attacks on the factories.
