The promised 30 units of equipment are already on their way, and our state will receive 100 in total. The cost of the aid package to Ukraine has exceeded 94 thousand dollars, writes Radio Liberty.
According to Bulgarian Defense Minister Tagarev, the first train of armored personnel carriers, numbering 30 cars, left for Ukraine on March 7.
The latter has already left,” added the head of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense, without specifying when exactly he would arrive in Ukraine.
The Bulgarian minister noted the importance of constant support for Ukraine and noted that Bulgaria is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine.
Last November, the country’s parliament ratified an agreement to provide Ukraine with 100 armored personnel carriers free of charge. The document was signed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in August. President Rumen Radev subsequently vetoed this decision. And in December 2023, the Bulgarian parliament overcame the veto.
