Verkhovna Rada registered a bill on military service for convicted citizens

They want to give convicts the right to parole from serving their sentences in places of deprivation of liberty, on the condition that they serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract.

A bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada that provides for the release of prisoners from serving their sentences to perform military service under a contract in a special period. As found out from the website of the parliament, this document, number 11,079, was registered on Wednesday, March 13.

The full text of the document is not yet available on the website, but former Justice Minister Denis Maluska reported that changes to the law would be proposed that would give convicts the right to parole from serving their sentences. prison sentence, provided that they serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by contract.

We remind you that on February 7, the Rada adopted in the first reading a bill to strengthen mobilization in Ukraine. The law is being prepared for the second reading. People’s representatives proposed thousands of amendments.
