Sergei Tsaruk visited the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint, where, as reported, Ukrainian buses are not allowed to pass.
Ukrainian Consul Sergei Tsaruk did not see the blockage of passenger traffic at the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint. The Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin announced this on Monday, March 11, following the consul’s trip to the border.
It was noted that Tsaruk met with Polish carriers and committed to not accepting delays in the passage of passenger buses.
“Traffic slowdowns may be caused by technical reasons related to the passage of other vehicles in the protesters’ corridor. In such cases, buses may wait up to half an hour. While the consul is in place of protest, a regular passenger bus passed without hindrance in the direction of Ukraine,” said the Consulate General.
Also, the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin sent an official letter to the police commander of Lublin Voivodeship with a request to ensure the unhindered movement of buses in the areas of protests in the future.
We remind you that on Monday the Cabinet of Ministers said that Polish protesters and police were stopping buses from Ukraine going to Poland and back.
Later, the police and the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs said that this information “does not correspond to the truth.”
