The Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and law enforcement officials say “nothing like this is happening” and that buses are moving “unhindered.”
Polish police deny information that protesters and police stopped Ukrainian buses with passengers at the blocked border. This was said by the acting press secretary of the Chief Commandant of the Polish Police, Katarzyna Nowak, PAP reported on Monday, March 11.
“This is not true, nothing like this is happening. We, as the police, have absolutely no control over either the humanitarian, military, or medical aid, or the buses that transport people. They pass by silently,” the statement of official
The same was said by the spokesperson of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Paulina Klimek.
“Aid and buses with passengers pass through the border of Ukraine without any difficulties,” he stressed.
As we wrote earlier, according to Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov, Polish protesters and police are stopping buses from Ukraine going to Poland and back.
