President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The situation at the front and the construction of fortifications were discussed, the head of state said on Telegram on Monday, March 11.
“Headquarters. Detailed information from the command about the situation on the battlefield. Reports from Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky, Chief of the General Staff Anatoly Bargilevich, local commanders. Kupyanskoye, Limanskoye, Bakhmutskoye, Avdeevskoye, Maryinskoye, southern directions, marine operations,” he wrote.
The headquarters also heard reports from the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and Head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry Alexander Kamyshin on providing the front with all the necessary.
“The actual and future supply of shells, missiles and other weapons. Own production,” Zelensky clarified.
In addition, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal published a report on the pace of construction of new defense lines.
“The protection of three lines with a length of 2,000 kilometers is a big task, but now the speed is good. I hope for timely completion,” said the president.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine will spend a record amount on fortifications. The money will be used for the construction of engineering and fortification structures, equipment and non-explosive fencing systems.
