British intelligence said that the Ukrainian Defense Forces began to rapidly build up defensive positions in some sectors of the front, according to an analysis by the British Ministry of Defense on March 10.
Ukrainian defense positions include anti-tank “dragon’s teeth” and trenches, infantry trenches, minefields and strong points, the department said.
Intelligence officials emphasized that expanding the defense lines would reduce the ability of Russian occupation forces to advance or take advantage of tactical advantages in ongoing offensive operations.
“The establishment of key defensive positions reflects the attritional nature of the conflict and means that any attempt at a breakout operation is likely to be accompanied by heavy casualties,” the analysis said.
Let’s recall that the international media reported the destruction of two Patriot launchers near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. The armed forces did not comment on this, but the Institute for the Study of War believes that this is not true.
