The American leader has signed into law the funding of several agencies and departments of the administration for the 2024 fiscal year.
US President Joe Biden signed a bill to fund part of the US government through the end of the fiscal year. This was announced by the White House press service on Saturday, March 9.
The document provides funding for the entire fiscal year through September 30 for US federal government departments and agencies. It includes half of the budget bills to fund the US government.
The US Congress plans to pass a second package of the remaining six funding bills for the full year on March 22. This package will cover the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services.
Let’s remember that on March 1, Biden signed a bill to extend temporary funding for the federal government to avoid a shutdown.
The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, said that a bill on additional funding for Ukraine will be considered once the issue of funding for the federal government is resolved.
