The head of the Hungarian government disputed his opinion by saying that in 2017-2021 “there was peace in the Middle East and Ukraine.”
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with future Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in the US state of Florida. The Hungarian official expressed his belief that only Trump’s return to the White House can bring peace. This is what he says reported on social network X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, March 9.
“We need world leaders who are respected and can bring peace. He is one of them! Go back and bring us peace, Mr. President! “Orban asked Trump.
In his Facebook video, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that under Trump’s presidency in 2017-2021 there was peace in the Middle East, as well as in Ukraine. According to him, it looks like “there will be no war” in Ukraine if Trump is re-elected in 2020.
The former US president and a small group of close advisers met with the Hungarian prime minister for about an hour on Friday night at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Afterwards, the former president took the head of the Hungarian government to a concert by a tribute band, which was part of a private event at the club.
As we have already written, Viktor Orban plans to discuss with Donald Trump the issue of ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Trump previously promised to end the war in Ukraine “very quickly.”
