The range includes FPV drones, 1,000 drones for attack missions, as well as reconnaissance and maritime drones.
The UK has allocated an additional £125 million ($160 million), which will fund more than 10,000 drones for Ukraine. This is what British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said, reports the press service of the defense department.
This includes a certain number of FPV drones, 1,000 other types of kamikaze drones, as well as reconnaissance and maritime drones.
“I encourage international partners to join the UK in this effort. The Ukrainian armed forces are using UK-supplied weapons to unprecedented effect, helping to destroy almost 30% of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia,” Shapps said.
The additional support will increase the UK’s total drone funding commitment to Ukraine to £325 million ($450 million).
Let us remind you that today the President of Ukraine held a meeting with the British Minister of Defense. The parties discussed the continuation of defense cooperation to further strengthen the air defense and long-term capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, Zelensky agreed to the candidacy of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny for the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK.
