The attacker was preparing a new Russian air attack on the city’s civilian infrastructure. The occupiers instructed the traitor to discover the locations of anti-aircraft systems on the territory of the regional center in order to bypass the air defense. First of all, the aggressor was interested in the possible coordinates of anti-aircraft missile launchers on the coastal territory of the city. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
In addition, the enemies wanted to have information about whether there were military ships equipped with air defense systems in the Odessa ports. The Russians needed all this information to prepare attacks on the city with cruise missiles and Shahed-type kamikaze drones.
The SBU promptly exposed the hostile plans and prevented their implementation, and the military reported a new threat of air strikes. Odessa has already reported suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces life imprisonment.
Let us recall that in Dnepr, counterintelligence of the SBU detained an agent of military intelligence of the Russian Federation, who was reconnaissance of the locations of air defense systems and logistics routes of the Defense Forces in the region.
