An alternative to artillery could be drones and long-range weapons, which Ukraine’s partners have, the president said.
There is “positive progress” in promoting the initiative of the Czech Republic to buy 800 thousand shells for Ukraine. President Vladimir Zelensky said this at a joint press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakis Mitsotakis in Odessa on Wednesday, March 6.
“There is positive progress, but we will only be able to evaluate the positive result when these shells are in Ukraine. Then this will be the final result that is true for Ukraine,” he said.
Zelensky said an alternative to artillery could be drones and long-range weapons, which Ukraine’s partners have. They should not hesitate to transfer them to our state.
“I think there is no lack of courage here, because if we (partners – IF-U) make a decision on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the protection of sovereignty and our people, then, it seems to akin. , there is no need to hesitate for a very long time, but we need to take appropriate steps forward,” the president noted.
We remind you that representatives of the Czech Republic discovered 800 thousand shells of 155 mm and 122 mm caliber in third countries, which could be sent to Ukraine. Subsequently, several countries agreed to provide funds for their purchase.
