The emergency occurred at the Shagonar thermal power plant. At that moment, there were 21 people on shift. As a result of the explosion, 18 people were hospitalized, nine are in moderate condition, and the condition of six victims is serious. The head of Tuva, Vladislav Khovalig, announced this on Telegram.
Three more people are being sought. In the city of Shagonar, central heating was turned off. Local authorities say that all four boilers at the combined heat and power plant appear to have been undamaged and are in working order.
Let us recall that on the night of March 2, in the Russian Yekaterinburg, an electrical substation was blown up that supplied energy to three Russian defense enterprises – the N.I. Kalinin Machine-Building Plant, the Turbomotor Plant and Uralmash.
