The average working day in Russia in 2023 will increase to 7.17 hours. This is the maximum in 19 years.
In Russia in 2023, the average actual working day will be 7.17 hours (about 7 hours and 10 minutes). The increase compared to last year was four minutes, reports RosSMI.
It is noted that this is the maximum for 19 years of measurements available on the Rosstat website. The previous record was set in 2019 (7.15 hours), after which, amid the lockdown and rising unemployment, the average value dropped.
Long working hours were recorded in the field of fish farming and fishing – on average, they worked there for 8.21 hours. The leaders also include employees of travel agencies, workers in the fields of metal ore mining, health care and social services, as well as transportation, government administration and military security.
Aircraft and aerospace employees, those involved in coal, oil and gas mining, education workers, hotel and catering workers, as well as workers in the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers worked the least number of hours per day.
The increase in working hours is associated with a shortage in the Russian labor market. The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation cited high capacity utilization as the reason.
We reminded you earlier Correspondent.net Told in which areas there are many offers for work, who is missing from the market, who can remain unemployed, and what salaries are offered in the Ukrainian market.
