Russia, along with China, is planning to deliver and place a nuclear power plant on the Moon. The head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, announced such plans at the “Knowledge. First” marathon at the world youth festival on Tuesday, March 5.
“Now we are seriously considering a project, somewhere around the turn of 2033-2035, for the delivery and installation of a power plant on the surface of the moon with our Chinese colleagues,” he said.
According to Borisov, this is planned to be done using robotic means in automatic mode.
