President Vladimir Zelensky replaced the commander of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding decrees appeared on the website of the head of state on Monday, March 4.
Zelensky dismissed Dmitry Gerega from his position. He appointed Alexander Yakovets, who was the head of the engineering troops department of the Support Forces command, to fill the vacant position.
It is known that Yakovets is a Ukrainian military leader and brigadier general. He fought in the Russian-Ukrainian War and distinguished himself throughout the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, II degree, and the Order of Daniil Galitsky.
