This was announced today, March 4, on the GUR Facebook page.
It is noted that as a result of the cyber attack, the Ukrainian intelligence service took possession of:
- software for information protection and encryption, which was used by the Russian Ministry of Defense;
- an array of secret official documentation of the Russian Ministry of Defense (orders, reports, orders, reports and other documents circulating between more than 2 thousand structural units of the Russian law enforcement agency).
It is noted that the information received allows us to establish the complete structure of the system of the Russian Ministry of Defense and its units.
The analysis of the data obtained also helped to identify the generals, other high-ranking managers of the morph’s structural divisions, as well as deputies, assistants, specialists – everyone who used software for electronic document management called “bureaucrat,” notes the Main Intelligence Directorate.
In particular, the military intelligence of Ukraine, for example, had at its disposal the official documentation of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Timur Vadimovich Ivanov.
This deputy Shoigu played an important role in making the cyber attack successful, the GUR noted.
Work in Russian cyberspace, aimed at obstructing and paralyzing the activities of the law enforcement agencies and officials of the aggressor state responsible for the war against the Ukrainian people, continues, the department notes.
