The Ukrainian Defense Forces maintain the villages of Berdychi, Orlovka and Tonenkoye. The Russians did not capture these settlements, and fighting continues. The press secretary of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops, Dmitry Likhovoy, announced this on March 3 during a telethon.
According to confirmed data, in the areas of these three villages that are of most interest to everyone – Berdich, Orlovka and Tonenko – the operational situation is stabilizing, our forces are holding the enemy back within these settlements, military operations and military skirmishes continue, but there is no reason to say that the enemy occupied or captured these settlements, he noted.
The Tavria OSUV reported that the invading army had reduced the intensity of assaults and air strikes. Likhovoy suggested that this may be due to the regular damage to Russian fighter-bombers.
On Saturday, March 3, the Russians carried out 14 airstrikes in the Avdeevsky direction. However, in previous days there were dozens of air strikes.
Let us remind you that on February 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces left Avdiivka, and on February 26, Ukrainian troops retreated from the village of Lastochkino. Already on February 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces left the villages of Stepnoye and Severnoye. After this, the Russians began to actively put pressure on the villages of Berdich, Orlovka and Tonechko.
