Local residents saw a bright flash in the sky this morning and heard a loud explosion. Before this, they heard the sound of a motor in the sky. As a result of the explosion, a residential building on Piskarevsky Prospekt was damaged. A drone probably fell near him. Russian propaganda media write about this.
According to enemy media, an unknown UAV could try to attack the thermal power plant or the Ruchi oil depot, located a kilometer from the damaged house. However, Russian air defense worked.
The governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, reported on Telegram that “no one was hurt,” and only windows in the houses were blown out. Residents of the affected apartments were evacuated.
Representatives of enemy intelligence services told reporters that there were two drones. The second UAV has not yet been found, but public reports say that the explosion occurred in the Kalininsky district. They don’t talk about this officially.
Let us recall that on February 24, unknown drones attacked Russia’s largest Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant in Lipetsk, which produces at least 18% of all steel in Russia. A fire broke out in one of the workshops.
