Moskalkova noted that she is in contact with Ukrainian representatives regarding the plane crash case.
Russia is ready to transfer to the Ukrainian side the bodies of prisoners of war who died in the crash of an Il-76 in the Belgorod region on January 24. This was stated by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, reported by Russian media.
According to Moskalkova, “there is everything needed for this from a procedural point of view.”
He noted that he was in contact with Ukrainian representatives regarding the plane crash case, and that “the Ukrainian side is interested in the possibility of moving the bodies.”
Moskalkova said that she was discussing this issue with the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmitry Lubinets, to whom she allegedly “gave all the answers to the question about the incident.”
“Regarding the bodies, I immediately said that we have confirmation and all the DNA, which, according to the analysis, allows us to make an identification,” said Moskalkova.
We remind you that on January 24, an Il-76 military plane crashed in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that there were alleged Ukrainian prisoners on the plane being taken for exchange. At the same time, the Ukrainian media said that the Il-76 was carrying missiles to the S-300 complexes.
Later, the Main Intelligence Directorate confirmed that an exchange of prisoners was supposed to take place on January 24, but it did not happen. The Russians published a “list” of 65 Ukrainian prisoners who were said to have died during the crash. However, the data of at least 17 people from the published list correspond to the data of 17 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters who were exchanged on January 3.
