The most contaminated by explosives are the regions of Kharkov, Donetsk and Kherson. This was said on Thursday, February 29, by the head of the department for organizing humanitarian demining work of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Sergei Reva, at a press briefing.
“These are the three main regions that are most contaminated and these are the main areas that we are working on now and where our main efforts are focused,” he said.
He noted that the number of pyrotechnic units in Ukraine continues to grow. Today we are talking about more than 340 calculations, numbering almost 1,900 people.
“During the period 2025-2027, a further gradual increase in this number is also expected,” Reva added.
