During offensive operations in the direction of Novopavlovsk, Russian troops widely used toxic substances, thereby violating the Chemical Weapons Convention. This was announced on Thursday, February 29, by a representative of the operational-strategic group of troops Tavria Dmitry Likhovy.
In addition to Krasnogorovka, there were the villages of Georgievka, Novomikhailovka, Urozhainoye, Pobeda, where there were fierce battles. The enemy’s significant forces are concentrated there – he also uses massive artillery, aviation, FPV drones and, among other things, his tactics include, for example, the violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, when he accompanies the -attack by dropping grenades with poisonous substances from drones substances,” said Likhovy at the telethon.
The spokesman added that such violations by the enemy are a huge phenomenon: only in the last 24 hours in the operational zone of the OSUV Tavria Six cases of the use of toxic substances by the enemy were recorded.
Earlier it was reported that in the direction of Zaporozhye and the Donetsk region, the Russian military continued to use toxic substances. In particular, tear gas grenades were dropped.
In Ukraine, 815 cases of Russians using ammunition with toxic chemicals were recorded.
