The UP wrote about this with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.
According to the journalists’ interlocutor, today the panel of judges of the Lvov Court of Appeal, having considered the appeal of lawyer Pavelko, abolished the decision of the trial court to extend the arrest until March 16.
The prosecutor insisted on the need for detention. However, the court did not choose a new preventive measure.
Since the pre-trial investigation in the Pavelko case has been completed and familiarization of the suspects with the case continues, appealing the current court decision at this stage is impossible.
At the same time, former UAF General Secretary Yuri Zapisotsky lost his appeal and remains in custody.
Pavelka is suspected of embezzling funds during the construction of a plant for the production of football grass. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of arrest without the right to bail.
On January 25, a new UAF president was elected. The only candidate for this post was Pavelko’s godfather, Andrey Shevchenko.
