The Russian Federation is trying to influence the upcoming European Parliament elections, scheduled for June 6-9.

Russia is waging a hybrid war against Italy using disinformation, cyber attacks and illegal migration. This was discussed in the Italian intelligence report, reports Ansa.

“Russia is the most active player in hybrid campaigns at the expense of Italy and the entire West. Espionage, cyber attacks and the use of migration flows for the purpose of destabilization are the arsenal used,” said document.

Thus, Russia is trying to influence the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, scheduled for June 6-9.

Italian intelligence added that the last time Russian disinformation was recorded was related to farmers’ protests against EU agricultural policies.

Let’s recall that Finland has previously said that Russia is conducting a hybrid attack against it on the border. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili accused Russia of continuing a hybrid war against the country.
