Russia invaded Ukraine with the support of other dictatorial regimes and is trying to undermine the stability of the United States.
To avoid a global military conflict and maintain a stable world, the West needs to take three steps. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced this on Monday, February 26, reports the Atlantic Council.
He recalled Vladimir Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2005, in which the dictator said that the collapse of the USSR was “the greatest geopolitical disaster of the century” and suggested that he was trying to restore the “evil empire.” .”
The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry noted that the invasion of Ukraine is taking place with the support of Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Syria. According to him, they all seek to destroy the stability of the United States and create success where it does not belong.
“We must take steps not to escalate the war in Ukraine, but to prevent a larger global conflict. Now the peace we have achieved after two bloody world wars, the taboos we established that borders cannot be changed by force, is under threat . . . but we can still fix it,” Sikorsky said.
According to him, “only three steps separate us from a safer and more stable world.”
First, the Ukrainians must be supported with the ammunition they urgently need. Second, we need to invest in our security to create a strong deterrent against Putin and his cronies. Third, deepen and expand our alliances to ensure lasting peace from a position of strength,” the diplomat said.
The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry noted that the implementation of these three measures will help defend the collective interests of the West and defeat dictators.
“If we fail, we invite more thugs onto the world stage, and this will have dire consequences,” Sikorsky said.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, reportedly visited the command post of the 58th combined army army in the combat zone in Ukraine.
