During the two years of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out dozens of brilliant operations and destroyed a number of Russian missiles, drones and aircraft.

Commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk announced this in his Telegram channel today, February 24.
According to him, the air force, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed during two years of a full-scale Russian invasion:
- 1 thousand 905 missiles of various types (including: 43 ballistic and 25 aeroballistic – Kh-47M2 “Dagger”);
- 4 thousand 844 attack drones;
- 7 thousand 660 UAVs of operational-tactical level;
- 340 aircraft;
- 325 helicopters.
Every day I say “THANK YOU” to my subordinates for destroyed targets and successful combat work. After all, behind every number there are PEOPLE! – Oleschuk emphasized.
Oleshchuk also noted that the Russians have already been “destroying” our Ukrainian Air Force in their propaganda for 730 years, while Ukrainian pilots, in the face of powerful hostile opposition, have already made more than 18 thousand 800 sorties, of which:
- 7 thousand 800 – for fire damage;
- 8 thousand 900 – for air fighter cover.
So far using Soviet technology. However, we are waiting and actively working to ensure that F-16s finally join the battle soon! – Oleschuk summarized.
