There is still no solution satisfactory for the Polish side or Polish farmers in Warsaw.
Poland has announced that it is far from reaching an agreement with Kiev on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products blocked at the border. This is what the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Poland Jan Grabec said, AFP reports.
According to him, the state of negotiations in Ukraine “does not allow us to say that we have a satisfactory solution for the Polish side or Polish farmers.”
“We are far from such an agreement. Unfortunately, there is still no Ukrainian proposal that would allow us to hope for a way out of the impasse in trade relations,” the Polish official said.
Let’s recall that on Friday night, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal proposed a five-step “Plan of Understanding” with Poland, designed to unblock the border amid protests by farmers of Poland.
The day before, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk rejected Zelensky’s invitation to meet at the border to resolve the situation, but suggested an immediate solution on military and humanitarian supplies, and government negotiations on February 28 in Warsaw.
