“Air defense units in our operational zone shot down 12 kamikaze drones: 2 in Mykolaiv region, 5 each in Kirovograd region and Odessa region,” the message said.
In addition, along with the drone attack, Russian terrorists also used X-59 guided missiles from a tactical aircraft from the Sea of Azov.
“Two missiles were destroyed by the air defense forces in the Kirovograd region. The fate of the aircraft is being clarified,” the Southern Defense Forces said.
It was noted that one of the downed enemy drones fell in a residential area of Odessa, causing destruction and fire in a typical Odessa courtyard.
“And although the fire was quickly extinguished, one of the apartments was completely destroyed. The owner died there; the rescuers managed to get his wife out from under the ruins; he was hospitalized in serious condition .Two other residents of a nearby apartment were taken to the hospital with burns and other injuries,” it said in the message.
Earlier, the head of Odessa OVA reported that as a result of enemy shelling, destruction and subsequent fire occurred in a residential building in Odessa. Three people were taken to hospital in serious condition. Subsequently, the body of another person was found under the rubble.
