Ukrainian defenders shot down another Su-34 fighter-bomber on February 21. There was also an attempt to hit the enemy Su-35, but the enemy pilot managed to maneuver. The commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk reported this on Telegram.
This time I can say that the Su-35 pilot was lucky – he maneuvered and is no longer taking risks. The Su-34 crew joins our column “Eternal flight, brothers.” There are good results of objective control so that no one doubts! – he wrote.
According to media reports, for the entire period until 2024, the Russian Federation has produced up to 100 Su-34 fighter-bombers. This air vehicle is quite expensive – the cost of a combat unit is 50 million dollars.
Let us remind you that the Russian army has already been shot down by seven Russian aircraft over the past six days. The enemy lost two Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter on February 17. Another Su-34 was shot down on February 18, and on February 19 a Su-34 fighter-bomber and a Su-35S fighter were grounded. All these Russian air targets were destroyed in the Eastern direction.
