The deputy head of the Zaporozhye regional council, Kutsenko, was exposed “in the heat of the moment.”

NABU and SAP, together with the SBU, exposed the hot hand of the deputy chairman of the Zaporozhye regional council, Vladislav Kutsenko, who previously held the position of prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine during the times of Viktor Shokin. Kutsenko was Shokin’s assistant.
Along with Kutsenko, his assistant and a deputy of the Zaporozhye regional council appear. They were all exposed for providing undue benefits to one of the directors of a healthcare institution.
According to the investigation, officials tried to bribe the director of a regional medical institution, which was supposed to help the right companies win in medical procurement and conduct financial transactions in the interests of certain institutions.
All three officials were detained immediately after they handed over the entire bribe amount. Under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (offering, promising or providing an unlawful benefit to an official), they face up to ten years in prison.
NABU, SAPO and SBU did not indicate the name of the official in their communications, but, according to local media, we are talking about Vladislav Kutsenko.
