Navalny’s mother first told the colony that her son’s body was in the Salekhard morgue. The morgue said there was no body.
Russian investigators refused to release his body to the mother of Alexei Navalny, saying that the examination would take another 14 days. Russian media wrote this in connection with a message from Navalny’s press secretary, Kira Yarmysh.
“The investigators told Alexei’s lawyers and mother that they will not release the body. Some kind of “chemical examination” will be conducted on him for another 14 days,” he said.
Navalny’s body was reportedly kept hidden for three days. His mother Lyudmila was first told in the colony that the body was in the morgue in Salekhard. The morgue said there was no body.
Let’s recall that on February 16, the Russian authorities announced that Alexei Navalny died suddenly in the IK-3 Polar Wolf in the village of Kharp in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of the Russian Federation.
