ALKA is a hybrid air defense system that uses electromagnetic and laser technologies against asymmetric threats.
Turkey has demonstrated a national laser system for combating air targets, including drones. This was said by the representative of the Roketsan company, Seyit Tunc, at the 8th Project Market and Cooperation Summit, reports TRTHaber.
According to him, it is necessary to design and produce products with a well-designed software architecture, and not just build them.
Tunç said that ALKA is a hybrid air defense system that uses electromagnetic and laser technologies against asymmetric threats. The system uses artificial intelligence.
The company representative added that the METE mini laser-guided missile system is another innovative product from Roketsan.
He noted that it is the world’s smallest missile with a length of 50 centimeters and a diameter of 40 millimeters, which can accurately hit a target.
Tunç also said that the company is conducting research focused on artificial intelligence.
We remind you that a new attack drone with a jet engine was tested in Turkey.
The DPRK has also reportedly announced the development of guided missiles for the MLRS.
