Former US President Donald Trump has unveiled a line of sneakers named after him. He presented Trump Sneakers at the Sneaker Con exhibition, held on Saturday, February 17, in Philadelphia, CNN reports.
It was noted that Trump personally placed a pair of gold-colored shoes on the podium, which cost $399.
“This is something I’ve been talking about for 12, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a great success,” Trump said.
According to a website called Trump Sneakers, 1,000 pairs of the sneakers were sold as of Saturday night.
In addition to the “gold”, the site offers two other models with the letters “T” and “45” on the sides – for $199. The site also sells Trump Victory 47 perfume for $99.
As you know, Trump is the 45th president of the United States and claims to be the 47th head of state.
The website states that the products are “trademarks of CIC Ventures LLC. Trump Sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald Trump” or his companies. Trump’s name, image and likeness are used under a license agreement.
