Apparently, air combat vehicles will be in the Ukrainian skies in June. This forecast was made by Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas and other European officials who were at the Munich Security Conference. Foreign Policy writes about this after analyzing the statements of European leaders.
I think that in June we will see them in Ukraine,” Anusauskas noted.
According to the publication, Kiev expects that by the end of September 12 pilots will undergo fighter training in the United States of America.
Let us recall that on February 17, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte said that the Netherlands would supply Ukraine with at least 24 F-16 multirole fighters. The transfer process is now going according to plan.
In the summer of 2023, the Danish leadership announced plans to transfer 19 fighters to Ukraine. It was initially expected that the aircraft would arrive in Ukraine at the beginning of this year, but it later became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would receive these aircraft in the second quarter of 2024.
