Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense defended the last route from Avdeevka. Scouts reported it on Facebook on Saturday, February 17.
“The special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, as part of the Security and Defense Forces, defended the last route from Avdievka for a week, causing heavy losses to the constantly advancing units of the -attacked by the Russians,” the report said. .
As part of the command for the coordinated withdrawal of the main forces, the special forces of the GUR, together with the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces, 3 separate assault brigades, 225 separate assault battalions, 110 separate mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces , provided an evacuation corridor.
“Now the special forces are holding the defense in pre-prepared positions to prevent further enemy advance,” GUR added.
We remind you that on the evening of February 17 it became known that the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces left Avdiivka. This happened after several months of constant attacks by the Russian aggressors, who lost thousands of military personnel and hundreds of equipment in the battles for the city.
