The created “drone” coalition “will be able to answer the new demands from Ukraine,” said Kaisa Ollongren.
The Netherlands has joined a military coalition to transfer drones to Ukraine, which will boost the latter’s offensive capabilities. This is what Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren said in an interview with Reuters.
This decision by official Amsterdam is in addition to the announced F-16 fighters, as well as artillery, ammunition and air defense systems that the country is already providing to Kyiv.
For the Netherlands, this could be additional costs in addition to the promised two billion euros for Ukraine.
We know, of course, that drones are very important in this war. That is why we are joining the drone development coalition created by Ukraine with Latvia and other countries, to ensure that we do exactly that – increase production, use the latest technology. and we provide exactly what Ukraine needs,” Ollongren stressed.
According to him, the created coalition will be able to meet the new demands from Ukraine, because they see how the struggle is developing at the front.
“And I think this will be the strength of this coalition, that it will give them what they need in the shortest possible time,” concluded the Dutch official.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said that Ukrainian attack unmanned aerial vehicles have hit more than 14 thousand enemy targets in the past six months.
