Co-written with Audrey Dewan for his film (The event), director Teddy Luci-Modeste was inspired by his own story. He himself was falsely accused of molestation when he was a professor at the Collège de Saint-Saint-Denis in Aubervilliers. “My film is crying. And if he cries, it is because there is hope. There are still men and women who have a taste for transmission. I do not see myself giving up my teaching position, despite the difficulties. I am so grateful for everything that the school has given me,” the director defends. “To deconstruct the hate speech that permeates our society, we need this transfer between teachers and students more than ever.”
