The brigade’s press service reported this on February 13.
The Ukrainian unit said that the attack of the invaders was stopped on the approach to the Ukrainian positions – the armored vehicles were covered and damaged by artillery, after which the disoriented enemy infantry disappeared into cover.
After this, the assault group of the 128th brigade moved to clear the “gray zone” from the remnants of enemy forces.
Under dense rifle fire, the surviving enemies made the only correct decision – to surrender. The delivery process was recorded on video.
The press service noted that former prisoners, Dagestanis and one resident of St. Petersburg were found among the prisoners. All are servicemen of the 71st motorized rifle regiment of the Russian Armed Forces.
The prisoners provide valuable information to military counterintelligence officers, after which they will replenish the fund for the exchange of prisoners, the 128th Brigade said.
