Representatives of the Ukrainian military-political leadership also spoke with the commander of the Security Assistance Group of Ukraine.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, spoke with the Supreme Commander of the NATO Allied Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli. The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced this on his Facebook page.
In addition, they spoke with the commander of Ukraine’s Security Assistance Group, Lieutenant General Antonio Aguto, about “military plans for 2024.”
Syrsky expressed his priorities in the conversation:

optimization of the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

improving the quality of training of our military;

replenishment of existing teams and creation of new ones;

ensuring regular demand for weapons and equipment.
They also separately discussed the continued increase in electronic warfare equipment to neutralize the threat of enemy drones.
“Another important topic is ensuring the rotation of fighters at the front.
A lot of work and future decisions are necessary for our success,” wrote Umerov.
We remind you that Rustem Umerov held the first working meeting with the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky. They discussed the issue of a detailed action plan for the army for 2024.
Let’s add that Lieutenant General Alexander Pavlyuk was removed from the position of First Deputy Minister of Defense. However, he was subsequently appointed commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
