The President announced the appointment of a special commissioner for international security guarantees for Ukraine.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov today visited all the hot spots on the front and reported the situation to the president. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Tuesday, February 13, in an evening video message.
“The first is the front, and especially Avdeevka, Kupyansk, Liman. Maximum attention, maximum support. Commander-in-Chief Syrsky, Minister of Defense Umerov is on the ground, right there, at the front, full day. Today we visited all the hot spots at the front. We reported the situation. They are solving the existing problems – staffing units, strengthening, management. There is reinforcement with drones, electronic warfare, command positions will also be strengthened. Later there a detailed report,” Zelensky said at the beginning of the address.
Next, they discussed the strategically important vote in the US Senate for a package of additional support for Ukraine. The next step is a vote by the House of Representatives.
Zelensky also spoke about rebooting Ukraine’s institutions, this time the forces of diplomacy.
“Lieutenant General Yevgeny Moysyuk was appointed special commissioner and will be involved in the implementation of international security guarantees for Ukraine and the development of the Defense Forces. We are creating for Ukraine a fundamentally new system of relations in security among the world’s leading states, and every element of such a relationship must be fully implemented,” the president said.
We remind you that President Biden addressed the US Congress and said: Ukrainian troops are running out of ammunition on the front lines, while Russian troops continue to advance, so the US House of Representatives must to immediately approve a bill to help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan totaling 95 billion dollars.
