Ukrainian troops are running out of ammunition on the front lines as Russian troops continue to advance, Joe Biden warned lawmakers.
The US House of Representatives must immediately approve a bill to aid Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan totaling $95 billion. This was stated in a statement by American President Joe Biden, published by the White House on Tuesday, February 13.
According to him, the bill is critical to US national security. This will allow the task of continuing to defend Ukraine’s independence and provide Israel with everything it needs to defend against attacks by Hamas militants.
“I applaud the bipartisan coalition of senators who came together to advance this bill, and I continue to urge the House of Representatives to take immediate action,” Biden said.
He noted that the United States can no longer afford to wait, because the cost of inaction is increasing every day, especially in Ukraine.
“We are already seeing reports that Ukrainian troops are running out of ammunition on the front lines, while Russian troops continue to advance, and Putin does not stop dreaming of enslaving the Ukrainian people,” stressed the president
He recalled that if the United States does not stand up to tyrants who want to conquer their neighbors, the consequences for America’s national security will be significant, and allies will consider it.
“It is time for the House of Representatives to act and place this bipartisan bill on my desk without delay for my signature so that it becomes law,” Biden said.
We remind you that on February 13, the US Senate overwhelmingly approved a bill to help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan worth $95 billion. The document provides more than $60 billion for Ukraine – mainly military aid.
Now the bill must pass the House of Representatives, whose speaker, Mike Johnson, has already criticized the document.
