The meeting of the Visegrad Four will take place on February 29 in Prague. The situation in Ukraine will be discussed at this event.
At the end of February, a summit of the heads of parliaments of the Visegrad Four countries will take place in Prague, where Ukraine has also been invited, which will be the main topic of discussion. This was announced on Monday, February 12, by the representative of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Martin Churavy, as quoted by Teraz.
“The personal participation of the Czech Republic was confirmed by the representatives of all the member countries of the Visegrad Four and Ukraine,” said Churavyi.
According to him, the Ukrainian side will be represented by the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“The thematic focus of the joint discussion will also be related to this. It will be devoted to the situation in Ukraine in relation to multilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation,” Churavyi clarified the content of the summit.
We remind you that the Visegrad Group includes Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The association was created on February 15, 1991.
The last time the heads of parliaments of the Visegrad Four met was in February last year in Slovakia, which then headed the group.
After him, control was passed to the Czech Republic in July last year.
Let’s remember that in December last year, the leaders of the European Union decided to start negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova on EU accession.
