Three snow avalanches descended from Mount Breskul in the Carpathians. Tourists are advised to avoid walking. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Avalanches were recorded in the afternoon on Saturday, February 10.
“Three avalanches of wet snow with volumes of 3300, 1050 and 3500 sq. m descended from the eastern slope of Mount Breskul. We advise you to avoid going out into the mountains!” – said the message.
On Sunday, February 11, a high risk of snow avalanche remains in the Carpathians. In the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions, avalanches with low additional load, individual medium and large avalanches are possible.
We remind you that on January 23, a snow avalanche with a volume of 2160 cubic meters appeared in the Carpathians. m. No one was killed or lost. Earlier, two avalanches of snow fell from the eastern slope of Mount Breskul. After that, no one was killed.
