A private jet attempted to make an emergency landing 3 miles from the airport after both engines stalled.
A small business jet crashed on a highway near Naples, Florida on Friday, February 9th. Two of the five people on board died, Airlive reported.
It was learned that a Bombardier Challenger 600 crashed on I-75 while attempting to land at Naples Airport.
According to preliminary data, both engines stopped, and the pilots attempted to make an emergency landing 3 miles from the airport.
According to the US Federal Aviation Administration, the Bombardier Challenger 600 crashed into the vehicle immediately after landing on the highway.
Three people were rescued, two others died.
Some highway lanes will be closed to traffic for 24 hours. Drivers are asked to avoid the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
