Testing of such drones is already underway in Ukraine. There are already cases of the use of such UAVs by defenders, but they are still isolated. The Ukrainian analogue of the Lancet will be able to hit hostile targets at a distance of up to 40 km. Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov stated this in an interview with Forbes.
In the range up to 20 km we have a large number of copters, FPV drones, but at night it is now quite difficult to find a target in the range of 20 km. We need to hit at 40 km. “Lancet-type drones are quite high-tech, and it took six months to accelerate the market in this direction,” he noted.
The minister emphasized that the issue of contracts for the production of drones will be resolved in the coming weeks. Fedorov suggested that within two months information about how the occupiers’ tanks were burning would appear in Russian public pages.
As you know, the Russian Lancet warhead munition is considered one of the most necessary Russian drones. The enemy uses these weapons primarily to destroy or damage large and important targets.
Let us recall that on February 6, Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov said that Ukraine is developing ground-based drones that can partially replace the machine gunner.
